GRASS VALLEY, CA, May 18, 2005: AJA Video today announced that three IO’s
will be used by Prime Cut Products for editing “Naked Cannes”,
a five-episode series featuring hosts Sarah Lelouch and Thierry Colby
delivering daily chronicles of the Cannes Film Festival, as well as exclusive
talent interviews with celebrities for E! Entertainment Television - International,
the channel dedicated to the world of Hollywood celebrities.

Video Engines. Because AJA’s products are known for tremendous dependability
under the most challenging conditions, they are chosen for some of the
most visible and dynamic projects being produced.
Editorial of Naked Cannes will take place in the Palais des Festivals
by Prime Cut Productions, using five Apple Power Macintosh G5 computers
with Final Cut Studio and Tiger. Four camera crews using Sony HVR-Z1U
HDV and Sony Beta SP cameras will capture the event.

largest media event it’s important for us to know we can count on
the efficiency of our editing systems, allowing us to be more creative.
Rough cuts of the final shows are sent to editors at E! Entertainment
in Los Angeles via the Internet. Editors can also have face-to-face communication
with their Cannes counterparts via Apples iChat AV software using iSight
cameras.
Editors use AJA IO’s to capture video and audio to the Storage Area
Network (SAN). Each system is connected to a QLogic 5200 Fibre Channel
Switch that allows sharing of the Xserve RAID arrays. Tascam USB122 interfaces
are used for audio monitoring as well as Edirol MA-15 speakers.
The series will air from June 6th to 10th internationally in over ten
